I was off of school last Wednesday — the day before Thanksgiving — so I was out with my friend Evan and his dad, then we got dropped off at my house. We went into my room and Evan went over to see my guinea pigs. As you know, I got Chewie for my birthday and several months later, we finally got him a friend. We wanted to get a male because my mom didn’t want them having babies. We were told that the guinea pig we got was a boy and we named him Wookie but… when I followed Evan over to the pen, I saw a little figure run across it, then another one. They were two baby guinea pigs!
I ran to the living room to get my dad. At the time my mom was at the office. My dad came in and he was shocked, he texted mom. She didn’t believe him at first! We saw them nursing from their momma, Wookie, and my dad sent my mom a picture to prove it.
They’re one day old in these pictures. In the picture below, you can see how small they are compared to my mom’s phone.
They’re so cute, I love holding them but when they’re away from their mom, they make a lot of nose and wiggle around a lot. We had to separate Chewie into a smaller pen, I just hope we did it in time so we don’t end up with more babies.
